Dobro Došli and Happy Tuesday, all, and welcome to our first Tourism Tip Tuesday, during which we will share some fun tourism tips each week that you might have missed or not thought about before while planning your visit to Malinska.

Bring Your Sunscreen and Sunglasses

No matter how tan you want to be, your skin is the biggest organ of your body, and its health is very important! I recommend bringing the sunscreen you like best and are most likely to use with you, as well as a pair of sunglasses you enjoy. But if you lose or forget these items, do not fret! Every single grocery store, pharmacy, and street vendor will have options available.

Prepare to Be Comfortable

Pack and wear clothes that are airy and breathable for the summer heat, long and fun walks, and possible swims. Light colors are preferable, especially when the sun is at its highest in the middle of the day. And of course, if you’re comfortable with carrying something with you, having a resting pad for sunbathing or a small blanket or towel to sit on would not hurt.

Have a Backup Bar in Mind

A fun experience in the summer heat is stopping at a bar for a refreshing drink. This typically is not a problem, but bars are especially popular in Malinska right now during the height of the tourist season, so if you don’t like crowded spaces or if you don’t want to wait, keep in mind one or two bars you’d like to try out so that if one is full, you have another you’re ready to try out.

Big Tip for the Week: Don’t Miss the Train!

Train tour

If you’d like to sit back, relax, and take your tourism of Malinska on the Island of Krk (Otok Krk) to the next level, look no further than one of Malinska’s summer train tours.

This year’s train, attractively painted in a dark forest green, white, and yellow, tours back and forth between Hotel Pinia and Malinska Lukobran (which is basically the “opening” of Malinska’s riva boardwalk), showing beautiful scenery, local hotspots, gorgeous hotels, churches, and other stunning local features. Whether you’re living here or touring the island, it’s a great tour to take at least once for the spaces you might have missed in your travels, and the kids are sure to love it.

There’s a schedule available for when you can greet the train to join the tour. According to the conductor, you can wait at the station or even stop the train! How fun!

Here is the Travel Schedule so You Don’t Miss Out!
