Sezam Mix Pizza

We’ve had a lot of delicious pizza crust and pizza sauce recipes on the island, so one of the things that can make a pizza stand out is the selection of toppings chosen by the restaurant, and Mama Mia does a wonderful job of selecting fresh, delicious, and flavorful options. This pizza in particular had delicious, zingy, mildly spicy sausage, roasted corn, and bell peppers. Thinking about it now, I’m this close to ordering one now!

Šurlice Gulaš

Since moving to Malinska, our family has become huge fans of Šurlice, especially when it’s paired with gulaš. It’s such a delicious, comforting, and hot meal, and it’s well-balanced enough that you could eat it in the summertime without feeling like you need to sleep your afternoon away, while also keeping you full and warm when you need it in the wintertime. Such a must!

Spaghetti Bolognese

As a family of five with three children who are ten and younger, we’re big on ordering spaghetti; those long noodles and bolognese sauce are an easy “yes!” for our kids. Mama Mia’s spaghetti bolognese is a little richer, leaning away from tomato-based sauce and more into a meaty, brown sauce, which our kids weren’t expecting, but they loved it. It’s definitely a meal we’d order again and one we’d recommend to fellow pasta, particularly, spaghetti enthusiasts!

Čevapčići with Lepinja

Čevapi is available all over Otok Krk, but they are not all created equal. This meal is delicious, flavorful, well-cooked, and the lepinja makes this a complete meal.

Mama Mia Salad

Sometimes I just really want a good, fresh, and flavorful salad, and this one checks all the boxes: fresh vegetables, feta, prosciutto shredded over the whole serving, what’s not to love?!
